Black and orange illustrations throughout by Mary Phipps. Illustrations include farm life, brownies, children, mammy and black americana images.

Gift inscription in pencil inside front cover to second page. No other writing. One old light corner fold. No page tears found. A very nice copy of a very rare and popular children's book.
