VERY GOOD- CONDITION - The covers are nice, bright and clean, with mild edge and corner rubbing. Brightly colored illustrations. Binding is very good and strong. Christmas 1940 gift inscription inside front cover with name neatly written to first blank page. No school stamps. Pages are very good, clean and very bright. No page tears found, no scribbling or writing, no storage smells, and no missing pages. Colors are very vivid. A very charming and nostalgic vintage copy, an excellent book for animal lovers, and lovers of vintage children's books.
