We Work and Play, 1946-47
Dick and Jane Books
Pre- Primer

We Work and Play is the 2nd Pre-Primer in a series of 3, and follows the first Pre-Primer, We Look and See. In used and still very good condition, this book is very sweet, with vintage illustrations of our loved characters, Sally, Dick and Jane, throughout on each page, illustrated by well-known artist Eleanor Campbell.

The Pre-Primer series was designed to prepare the child for the Basic Primer, Fun with Dick and Jane. In We Work and Play the combination of story plots, interpretive pictures, and small vocabulary of highly useful words makes it possible for children to enjoy reading while they learn to read.
