A very charming copy of a Cathedral Edition. a very popular Dick and Jane series book, EXCELLENT stories. Designed for the second semester (2.2) of 2nd grade, and follows the previous book, The New Friends and Neighbors. Rare to find this nice. In the Catholic editions, Dick and Jane were normally changed to John and Jean and a few stories were changed to have a religious content.

Stories include; The Old Woman's New Hat, Little Mouse Dances, Sleepy Sam, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Man Who Kept House, A Trick for Wags, Bobby's New Shoes, and many more. Beautifully illustrated on each page by well-known artists Ellen Segner, Keith Ward & Eleanor Campbell.

Condition
GOOD+ CONDITION - The covers are good with edge rubbing and very light fray to bottom edge front cover. Binding good and strong. School stamp and bookplate inside front cover from the Holy Rosary School, Duluth, MN. First and last blank page has small piece of bottom corner removed and a half inch rub through to top of page. Pages are bright and clean with light use showing. No page tears, no scribbling or writing, an occasional stray light pencil mark to a few pages. No storage smells and no molds. Illustrations are vivid. A very nice and nostalgic vintage copy.
