Dick and Jane Books Vintage Readers

Rare 1st Edition of the Elson Basic Readers Primer. The 2nd and last edition was published in 1936. One of the very cute stories in this Primer is about a very well remembered little dog, Happy, who was originally published in the book "Charlie and His Puppy Bingo" in 1927.

Other stories are authored by Dorothy Baruch, Miriam Clark Potter, Gertrude Smith, Nancy Byrd Turner, Jessie Lathrop, and Caroline Emerson's, The Merry-Go-Round.

GOOD+ CONDITION - The covers are good with light rubbing. No fray. Binding is good and strong. Bookplate and names to bookplate and to first blank page. Pages are good and bright with a few pages having light soil from light use. Last vocabulary page has half the page torn, no story page tears and no other tears found. No storage orders, no molds. Colors to the illustrations are very bright. A very charming and nostalgic vintage copy. A wonderful book for Dick and Jane lovers!
