Basic Pre-Primer 1930
Baby, and Dick and Jane
Rare 1st Dick and Jane book

The first book to introduce Dick and Jane.  Sally was not named yet and is referred to as Baby, Puff was named Little Mew, and Spot is a terrier, later changed to the Cocker Spaniel. Charming very vintage illustrations throughout each story in water-color by L. Kate Deal.

In this 1930 edition, the illustrators were not given credit, not until the book, the Elson Basic Readers Book One. A rare book, nostalgic piece of history and the beginning of Dick and Jane.
