Excellent and very rare comlete set of 1940's teacher aid picture cards, used in front of of the class when children learned from the Pre-Primers and the Primer in 1st Grade. Printed with a colorful illustration on one side and a word on the other. Complete set of 14, with the original envelope.
Very nostalgic, these cards were used before Sally was named and was referred to as Baby.
One each of
Dick, Jane, Baby (later known as Sally), Mother, Father, Spot, Puff, Tim the bear, a car, a boat, a ball, cookies, their house, and one with Mother, Father, Dick, Jane, and Baby all together.
Each card measures about 7" x 12" and are made of heavy card stock. Each card is in very good condition. Very collectible, very rare and very nostalgic.
